Let's get creative

Whether you’ve just received a letterbox arrangement, or it’s been a few months and you want to create a new look, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some top tips on how to style your flowers.

Organise

Once you are ready to create your display, begin by carefully separating out the different varieties of flowers.

Vases

Now choose your favourite vase, in proportion to the size of the bouquet. We recommend using a vase which is about a third of the height of the arrangement. We love ceramic and coloured glass vases with our dried and preserved flowers.

Measure

Measure your stems against the vase and use sharp scissors or secateurs to cut them to your preferred height. We suggest varying the length of stems to create an attractive display.

Foliage

When styling your flowers, begin with the foliage (leaves and grasses) to create a backdrop for the feature flowers.

Style: Forward-Facing

If you are aiming for a forward-facing bouquet, keep taller stems at the back and bring shorter feature flowers to the front to create a layered design.

Style: Round

If you would prefer a traditional circular bouquet, place your feature flowers throughout the display to add pops of colour.

Arrangement

Make sure to work with the flowers. The way the stems flow, upright or drooping, short or long, will help guide you in creating a natural arrangement.
